A fitness trainer to Hollywood elite, Ironman triathletes, stay-at-home moms, busy professionals and everyone in between and has been doing it for over thirty years.
Vinnie is cancer survivor and was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2007. So it an extra super duper honer to have him here. Despite Leukemia, Vinnie has been able to kick ass as a fitness trainer, as well as many of other things I’ll mention, and has helped and continues to help many folks along the way.
Starting in 2012, started a podcast and now a super successful podcaster on his America’s Angriest Trainer Podcast with his lovely and multi talented co-host (The First Lady of Podcasting) Anna Vocino. The podcast is available everywhere: on his website vinnietortorich.com, iTunes, Stitcher, and apps for both the iPhone and Android devices.
Vinnie is the author of the super successful best selling book Fitness Confidential: Adventures in the Weight Loss Game(affiliate link) which was release in June 2013. He is co-writer is Dean Lorey. If you don’t know Dean, as Vinnie would say, Dean runs Hollywood. The book Fitness Confidential is available on paperback and Kindle on Amazon.com(affiliate link).
In 2014, as an entrepreneur, Vinnie successfully launched Pure Vitamin Club (affiliate link) with the his close friend Andy Schreiber, the CEO of PVC. Vinnie formulated and with the Andy help offer a pure vitamin multi cap that is free of fillers and potentially harmful additives typically found in most vitamins on the market.
As an athlete, Vinnie was a star football player at Tulane University of Louisiana. Some time after college, Vinnie learned he got pretty could at riding super long and far on bikes and he eventually participated in ultra cycling events like the AdventureCORPS’ Furnace Creek 508 which he’s participated numerous times and Vinnie does a fantastic recounting of the 508 in his “Lagniappe” section of his best selling book Fitness Confidential.

CD: Hahaha. Gonna be a cliche because I grew up in the 80s. It’s gotta be ‘Eye of the Tiger’. That song is so inspirational.
RU: What next for Carlos Dones?
CD: There is a couple [several] things I’d like to do. Kona would be great. Western States. UTMB in France. But the ultimate for me, would be the Ultra Man.
